Photo Exclusive: Ebersole Honors ALW

Like I’ve said before, when a photo is this good, I can’t help myself from running it BIG for my readers. And here we have two such photos, from Sunday night’s Kennedy Center Honors Gala in Washington, D.C. The subject is, of course, Broadway’s Christine Ebersole looking amazing in an original William Ivey Long silk komono. Leaving Little Edie Beale of Grey Gardens behind for one night, Ebersole channelled Norma Desmond, singing “As If We Never Said Goodbye” from Sunset Boulevard as part of the tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber. You can see it for yourself on December 26, when CBS airs the show as a two-hour special. Photos by Joan Marcus.
