Broadway.com’s own Bruce Glikas had a moment to shine in the Legally Blonde sketch of the Gypsy of the Year competition on Monday and Tuesday. Bruce played (what else?) a paparazzo who became the victim of Laura Bell Bundy, who punched him in the face on the how-to-be-famous advice of The Hills gals. Here’s a great photo taken onstage of the big moment and a shot of Bruce (down front with the press pass on!) and the Legally Blonde kids backstage.

Now that
>Celia has a new publicist, they’re trumping up that visit from the Material Girl back in October. In fact, here’s an autographed photo that they sent around to the press today which I find kind of genius…

The talented team over at SpotCo. recently signed on to create a new ad campaign for Xanadu, which will be rolling out in the new year. Broadway.com got an exclusive chance to visit the set of the show’s brand new 30-second TV commercial today at a soundstage in the West Village. We’ll be offering some behind-the-scenes video in the coming weeks, but here’s a quick look at the action. Photos by Bruce Glikas for Broadway.com
Stars Kerry Butler and Cheyenne Jackson get ready to smooch for the camera.
Featured players Mary Testa, Tony Roberts and Jackie Hoffman (Smile, Jackie!) got into show drag early for the shoot.
Kerry gives us some Hollywood glamour.
Action shot! Cheyenne and Kerry mid-scene, with ensemble stars Marty Thomas and Kenita R. Miller.
 Cheyenne, charming as always.
Roller boy Curtis Holbrook shows some spirit.
Kerry gets ready for her close-up.

Talk about perfect casting. Pushing Daisies Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth has just signed on to play the nutty sister of Reese Witherspoon in the new New Line movie Four Christmases. The movie, which also stars Vince Vaugh, Sissy Spacek and Mary Steenburgen as the gals’ mom, is set to open in time for (yup) next Christmas. Congrats KC.

It didn’t look so good chopped into pieces on Entertainment Tonight last night, but the trailer for next summer’s Mamma Mia! (featuring Meryl Streep and Pearce Brosnan, above) looks pretty good in whole. You can decide for yourself here.

Cindy Williams (Shirley of Laverne &…) made her Broadway debut last night, playing kooky Mrs. Tottendale in The Drowsy Chaperone. Here she is, camping it up during the curtain call and backstage with the cast. Look out for a Photo Op later this week. Photos by Bruce Glikas for Broadway.com

I spent a good chunk of my life worshipping Judy Kuhn, mostly for the original cast recordings of Chess, Rags and Les Miserables (OK, mostly Chess). It was exciting to get to talk with her about her long history with Les Miz (in which she has now gone from the daughter role of Cosette to the more exciting mother role of Fantine) and her terrific new Laura Nyro CD a few weeks back in our office. Watch the video—including clips of “I Dreamed a Dream” and her recent Joe’s Pub gig—here.

The Spring Awakening “kids” got together for one last party with departing Tony-winning star John Gallagher Jr. on the one-year anniversary of their actual opening, December 10. Even former stars who have gone onto new hits like Krysta Rodriguez (A Chorus Line) and Gideon Glick (Speech & Debate) were on hand. How friggin’ cute of a group are they? Family portrait. There’s more to see on the sides that wouldn’t fit…wait for the op!
